Early lung cancer PDT is funding target

You are about to watch something that we think is entirely incredible. You are about to see a patient’s small lung cancer being destroyed with PDT.

It doesn’t require months of chemotherapy that wrecks the entire immune system. Only recently the leading Professor at Bart’s, John Gribben, questioned how the medical profession has – for so many years – been allowed to “poison” the body with chemo.

The treatment you are about to see doesn’t involve removing the entire lung with all the emotional and physical damage involved.

It required a few minutes of light treatment with PDT.

Using the light diagnostic and other PDT cancer detection techniques, Dr Jeremy George at University College Hospital in London, was able to pinpoint the cancer and then pinpoint the PDT treatment.

With the PDT drug absorbed within the lung, the light probe is guided with an endoscopic camera to the precise area.

This patient is now alive, well and cancer free. His treatment was this simple and straightforward.

You will be watching PDT kill cancer.

Yet there is one sad truth. There are only half a dozen UK hospitals able to offer this treatment. There is no NHS funding to offer this treatment.

With your help – including lobbying to MPs and your Primary Care Trust – we can improve the life chances of hundreds of thousands of cancer patients with this simple, cost-effective treatment.
