We hope we have provided you with enough information to empower you to make your own treatment decisions about PDT.

Updates will be provided on the different pages about where PDT services are offered or the locations are added to.

Bile Duct

On the bile duct page, for instance, we have informed you where the treatments are taking place. Your GP should be able to assist you in making contact with the nearest unit and to process any possible inclusion on the trial.

Prostate

On the prostate, the person to email is on the page. That trial is currently suspended. If we are able to secure additional funding, the trial should re-open later in 2009

Head & Neck

For head and neck, we have given you the names of the UK hospitals offering these services.

Breast

For the breast cancer trial, in the UK it is only available from the one hospital – The Royal Free. Please do not contact them yet. The trial is not open. We will post the details when the US hospitals come on line.

Vulval and Penile

For penile and vulval experimental work, we will post these details very soon.

Pancreatic

For the pancreatic cancer trial, that contact point is also on the page.

Barrett’s

Centres where you might be able to get Barrett’s oesophagus PDT treatment are on that page.

It is almost impossible to answer all the many thousands of emails about PDT for other conditions. I am sorry to say that if it isn’t on the list of available trials or established treatments, I suspect that it would be hard for any PDT to take on experimental, one-off treatments.

We really are at a stage where the teams must focus on delivering the existing trials and progressing them to a conclusion.

If you want to contact us by email, please click here. At times we can have several thousand emails arriving, and it may take us some time to give you a detailed reply. We will try our best at all times.
