Bladder Cancer

Bladder cancer is one of the most obvious targets for PDT. Teams in the USA have already made some significant progress with patients where the procedure is fully approved and in use.

We want to bring this treatment to the UK

One of the advantages with PDT is the ability to precisely target the treatment.

Over the past four years the charity has received hundreds of pleas for PDT to be offered for bladder cancer, and while it would be possible to treat all these patients, there has simply not been the funding.

We intend to discuss the simplest and quickest route to adopt PDT for bladder cancer in the UK and across Europe.

If you are interested in helping to fund this essential work, you will find more details in the black ‘donate’ section of the website.

The plan would be start this work by the end of 2009.
